Garhwa, November 11, 2025, Babu Dinesh Singh University (BDSU), Garhwa, inaugurated the 25th Foundation Day celebrations of Jharkhand with great enthusiasm and a series of meaningful programs. Marking the state’s silver jubilee, the university organized various activities aimed at fostering public awareness, cultural pride, and nation-building.

Cleanliness Campaign Marks an Auspicious Beginning

The celebrations commenced with a Cleanliness Campaign led by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Mr. Babu Dinesh Singh.
Dr. P.D. Tiwari, Head of Department at the Vananchal Institute of Health Education and Research, along with his students, actively participated in cleaning the university campus and promoting a plastic-free environment. All participants reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to a clean and prosperous nation.

Showcasing Jharkhand’s Rich Heritage Through Arts and Crafts

An impressive Arts and Crafts Exhibition was organized under the leadership of Dinesh College of Education to highlight Jharkhand’s vibrant traditions and cultural heritage.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor M.K. Singh, visited the exhibition and encouraged participants. He emphasized the need to establish various clubs at the university level to engage youth with indigenous products and to preserve the rich traditions, culture, and heritage of Jharkhand.

Tree Plantation and Inspirational Messages

As per the scheduled events, a mass Tree Plantation Drive was conducted by students and faculty members under the guidance of Dr. Pankaj Kumar from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The plantation of traditional Indian saplings was solemnly carried out in the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor.

On this occasion, Chancellor Shri Babu Dinesh Singh commended the unwavering dedication of the people of Jharkhand. He said:
“The role of the common people in preserving Jharkhand’s prosperity and traditions is unparalleled. Our youth are the true strength of the nation. They should be inspired to lead disciplined and responsible lives, as these values will shape their successful and meaningful future.”

Vice Chancellor Professor M.K. Singh expressed his satisfaction with the successful launch of the 25th Foundation Day celebrations. He appreciated the guidance of the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education and the collective efforts of all university departments.
He said:
“Youth will play a decisive role in Jharkhand’s development over the next 25 years, and Babu Dinesh Singh University is fully committed to preparing them for meaningful contribution to nation-building.”

A large number of faculty members, administrative officials, and students were present at the event and collectively reiterated their commitment to the continued progress of Jharkhand.
