World Homeopathy Day Celebration Week observed from April 1 to April 7 at Devki Mahavir Homeopathic Medical College & Research Hospital, Farathiya, Garhwa

Garhwa: On the occasion of World Homeopathy Day, a “World Homeopathy Day Celebration Week” was enthusiastically organized from April 1 to April 7, 2026, at Devki Mahavir Homeopathic Medical College & Research Hospital, Farathiya (Garhwa), in compliance with the directives of the National Commission for Homeopathy, New Delhi. The objective of this program was to increase public awareness about the homeopathic system of medicine and to familiarize students with its principles and significance. The institution is a constituent unit of Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa.

The program commenced on April 1 on the occasion of the 271st birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy. The event began with garlanding his portrait and lighting the ceremonial lamp. On this occasion, the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Keshavendra Kumar Tiwari, along with faculty members and students, expressed their views on the importance of the homeopathic system of medicine.

As part of the program, students organized an awareness rally within the college campus and nearby areas to inform people about the benefits of homeopathic treatment. In addition, activities such as poster-making competitions, quizzes, and various academic events were conducted, in which students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity.

Throughout the week, academic sessions and special lectures were also organized in the college, providing students with detailed insights into the principles, utility, and future prospects of homeopathy.

Under the program, the college’s medical team also organized a free health check-up and medicine distribution camp in Pratappur village, Garhwa. A large number of rural residents and children benefited from the camp by receiving health check-ups and free homeopathic medicines.

The successful organization of the program was made possible due to the significant contribution of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Keshavendra Kumar Tiwari, faculty members, doctors, and students.
